The war is over (2020)
“Exploring the theme of emotional dependency”
shows a selection of works from a project De Wolf has been working on during the past year. Due
to the mandatory life jacket situation during COVID19, she approached the theme of human rights,
conflict and trauma areas in her own emotional field. A fascinating journey through the urge for
harmony, love and trust brought her to the translation of her emotional landscape. Both as it relates
to covid19 -we humans do rely on each other as personal
-what does it mean to rely on another person?
For ‘The war is over’ she uses real hearts, flying pigeons, gilded pigeon food and crying boots.
The tactility with the reality within herself derails in a painful, poetic way towards universal themes.
On a bigger scale Sanne De Wolf is doing research on the synchronicity of the theme 'love' in the three
monotheistic religions.
Installation
-Je ne peux pas le faire
-Notre plus grand bonheur
-The war is over
-Le demi - paradis
